Wiesen Test of Mechanical Aptitude

CAMA manufacturing memberships include subsidized access to the Wiesen Test of Mechanical Aptitude. There are two ways the Wiesen Test can help your business. 

          – Screening Job Candidates: You can use the Wiesen Test to screen job candidates. The test measures mechanical aptitude rather than mechanical knowledge. In other words, it will indicate whether a given job candidate will be able to quickly learn how to operate and maintain equipment. The test does not indicate whether a given job candidate knows how to operate or maintain equipment. Therefore, the Wiesen Test is especially useful if you are recruiting for positions that do not require industry experience.

          – Identifying Promotion Opportunities: You can use the Wiesen Test to gauge incumbent workers’ ability to transition into higher skilled occupations. An Assembler who aces the Wiesen Test may make a good Production Technician with some additional training.
